Patti Robinson has been a board member of the Recovery Foundation since its founding in 2018. She served on the board of its predecessor, Arapahoe House, for 10 years. Beyond her time with the board, Patti has been dedicated to addiction recovery for nearly 40 years, graduating from metro state university in 1982 with a degree in health and human services and level 1 drug alcohol recovery certificate.
Patti’s relationship to drug and alcohol recovery is unique. She and her family have been staples of Colorado’s small business community for decades, running independent liquor stores. Patti’s father, the owner of Argonaut liquor store – Hank Robinson – was the first member of the family to take a harder look at the effect alcohol had on the community.
Patti loves her work in the liquor business because it helps her connect with her community in times of celebration. But, she feels an moral responsibility to assist those who have a difficult relationship with drugs and alcohol. Patti treasures the work that she does with the Recovery Foundation, and is constantly inspired by the power and tenacity of those who engage in the path to recovery. She thanks everyone who has worked with the Foundation, and those who have had the bravery to use its services.
